Someone, identifying himself as a technician from the phone company calls to say he's running a test on your office telephone lines. To complete the test you need to press nine (9), zero (0) and the pound sign and then hang up. If your company dials nine to get an outside line, then by doing what the caller asks you give the caller access to place a long distance telephone call that will be billed to your office. This scam can also work on home lines that have three way conversations. The caller will ask you to press zero, and that button.
