Regional Information Sharing Systems

The Regional Information Sharing Systems (RISS) site provides information about the RISS Program and services. This is for law enforcement use only.

NABI Website

Pete Robinson of the Seminole County Sheriff's Office volunteered to maintain the web site for NABI. He has done a tremendous job of setting it up and populating it with helpful information. The web site has a public site for all to view and secure sites for Associate and Law Enforcement members. Following is a break down on some of the information that is available on the site. We are continually adding new features to the web site and any suggestions for improvement are encouraged and welcomed. Pete is currently working on developing a search engine for the entire site.

User names and passwords are being sent to all members via e-mail as they join or renew their membership. We discovered that several members do not have current e-mail addresses listed with NABI. If you would like a user name and password for the secure site, please send a message requesting them to info@nabihq.org.

Public Site

The public site consists of the following sections:

Secure Site

ACCESS FOR NABI ASSOCIATE MEMBERS AND NABI MEMBERS (LAW ENFORCEMENT). Associate members will have access to everything in the secure site except, Bulletins, Gallery and Logs which contain Law Enforcement sensitive information.

Access for NABI Members (Law Enforcement Only)

Notices

We have added to the links section, a list of inmate search sites which ontain links to free public inmate search sites in the various State Departments of Corrections websites and some counties within the states. The county sites listed are only those counties that will provide you with a photo.

Medicare Prescription Fraud Alert

The US Department of Health & Human Services issued a consumer alert for seniors and people with disabilities. A scam known as the "$299 Ring" has emerged. This is where a telephone call is received by an elder who is asked for $299 and checking account information in order to enroll in a fake prescription drug plan. The victims are talked into giving bank account and other personal information over the telephone.

Legitimate Medicare drug plans will not ask for payment over the telephone or Internet. The drug programs bill for the monthly premium, typically as an automatic withdrawal from the monthly Social Security Check.

Any questions or concerns about Medicare or a drug plan can be answered by calling 1-800-MEDICARE.
